Description
Manor House Home for the Elderly is a town house dating from the late 18th century, currently used as an old people's home. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof with stone coping on the gable ends and a moulded eaves cornice. The building has brick quoin pilasters and stands three storeys tall with five bays. It is adorned with tall sash windows that have glazing bars and keyblocks in the lintels. The central doorway is framed by fluted pilasters and an entablature with a dentilled cornice, topped with a large rectangular fanlight featuring lead tracery and panelled reveals. There are rendered end chimney stacks, and at the rear, there is a two-storey wing made of stone rubble.
