Description
Westcliff Terrace is a terrace of houses built in the mid-19th century. The buildings are finished in stucco and feature a slate mansard roof with gabled ends, a parapet, and a moulded cornice. The terrace consists of three storeys, an attic, and a basement, with a total of sixteen bays of sash windows that do not have glazing bars. The first-floor windows are set within moulded architraves. Each house includes a two-storey bowed bay window on the ground and first floors, which has a dentilled cornice and curved glass panes in tripartite sashes. The doorways are moulded round arches with semi-circular fanlights and panelled doors, and there are attic windows in the mansard roof. The terrace also features basement area railings with arrow-head shafts and stanchions topped with urns. It is situated on an elevated site that overlooks the sea.
