Description

SX 07 NW ST KEW ST KEW HIGHWAY 5/227 Filkins Cottage - GV II Cottage. Circa late C18. Stone rubble, slate-hung on front and part of left-hand gable end. Rag slate roof with gable ends with truncated projecting stone rubble hall/kitchen stack on left-hand gable end. 2 room and possibly cross passage plan with larger hall/kitchen on left heated by gable end stack and unheated room on right. 2 storey asymmetrical 2-window front. Ground floor with 2 early C19 16-pane hornless sashes with crown glass and C20 rendered and glazed porch with part-glazed 4-panel door to right of centre. First floor with 2 hornless 8-pane sashes. Lean-to outshut on left-hand gable end. Interior not inspected. Forms part of terrace with St Catherines (qv) adjoining on right-hand side.
