Description

Early-C19 house, with a late-C19 or early-C20 shopfront.

MATERIALS: built of cob and stone that has been rendered. The pitched roof is covered in slate tiles.

EXTERIOR: a two-storey, two-bay symmetrical principal elevation with a deep eaves cornice. The ground-floor shop frontage comprises a recessed entrance door with transom light above and plate-glass display windows to either side. The lobby entrance has a mosaic-tiled floor. The shopfront is framed by panelled pilasters supporting the fascia above. To the first floor are two six-over-six hornless sash windows within moulded architraves. To the left-hand end is a chimney stack with a rendered brick shaft.
