Description
12 Fore Street is an early to mid-19th century house that features a late 20th century shopfront on the ground floor. The building has undergone alterations in the 20th and 21st centuries, and the ground floor shop unit is now part of the properties at 14 and 16 Fore Street.
Constructed from stone and covered with render, the exterior presents a three-storey, single-bay façade. The ground floor includes a late 20th century shopfront window with multiple panes and a door on its north side. To the left of the shopfront, there is a late 19th century console bracket supported by a reeded pilaster, which features a Tudor rose motif. Above, the first and second floors each have a one-over-one horned sash window with a plain architrave. The roof of the building is concealed.
