Description

The Martyrs' Memorial, erected in 1909, is located at the junction of Barnfield Hill and Denmark Road. This granite obelisk features bronze reliefs at its base, created by Harry Hems. It commemorates the martyrdom of Thomas Benet in 1531 and Agnes Prest in 1557, both of whom were executed in Exeter.
