Description

12 and 14 Magdalen Road are an unusual pair of houses built between 1830 and 1840, noted for their good architectural detail. They are two storeys high and constructed of stucco. The ground floor features rusticated detailing with tall recessed sash windows, while the upper floor has sash windows with glazing bars. The lower wings on either side include trellis porches. The main fronts have chamfered angles adorned with wreath ornaments, and the eaves fascia is decorated with dog-tooth edging. The pair has a single central chimney stack and a hipped slate roof.
