Description

The Magdalen Almshouses, dated 1863 as indicated on the rainwater heads, are constructed of Heavitree stone. The buildings consist of Nos 1 to 12, forming a group with Nos 13 to 16 and a surrounding wall. The almshouses are two storeys high, featuring three-light casement windows on the ground floor and two-light windows within large, boarded gables on the first floor. Each building has a gabled porch. The roof is slate, with clustered chimneys.
