Description

Belmore House and Lismore House are a pair of houses built around 1820 to 1850. They are constructed of stucco over brick, with concealed roofs and a brick party-wall stack. The buildings are three storeys high with eight windows on the first floor (four windows per house). The stucco detailing includes a plinth, bands marking the first and second floors, a breakforward of two windows with shallow arches over ground-floor entrances, a continuous frieze, and a cornice. The first floor has casement windows. The second floor has four windows with 2/2 sashes, and four blocked openings. The ground floor features three 1/1 sash windows and three French windows with overlights. The central entrances have six-panel doors; the left-hand door is partly glazed and the right-hand door has a fanlight with decorative glazing. The interior remains uninspected.
