Description

The buildings at 17-27 Higher Shapter Street are a group of five cottages dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are rendered and two storeys high. The windows are all sash windows with glazing bars, but vary in size and are arranged randomly. Number 21 has a band of anthemion decoration at eaves level, along with two false windows.
