Description

74 Fore Street is a 17th-century house in Topsham, with a shop front dating to 1836. It is timber-framed, with a three-storey plastered front featuring gables and overhangs. A moulded beam is visible at second-floor level. The interior contains late 17th-century features, including a staircase, carving and panelling in the front shop, and a first-floor fireplace with original painted Dutch tiles. The house is a dominant feature of Fore Street and contributes to the group value of the listed buildings within the street.
