Description

St Jude’s Cottage is a house, likely dating from the late 18th century. It is built with a mass wall construction and is painted and rendered, topped with an asbestos slate roof. The chimney shafts are rendered with bands, and the building has cast iron rainwater goods. The original plan consisted of two rooms wide and one room deep, with a stack at the right end and another to the rear of the ridge on the left. The two-storey front facade is symmetrical, featuring three windows. The central entrance has a recessed six-panel door and a plain overlight. The windows are boxed sash windows, reglazed with four-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage represents a good example of a modest Georgian house.
