Description

TALATON SY 09 NE 6/167 Barn approximately 15 metres west of Higher Westcott Farmhouse - GV II

Barn. Probably C17, refurbished in the C19. Exposed cob on stone rubble footings; corrugated iron roof, formerly thatch. Threshing barn on an east-west axis with nearly central opposing full heignt doorways onto the threshing floors. The double doors are late C19 and flanked by short projecting midstrey walls. The roof is hipped each end. Interior: was not available for inspection at the time of this survey.
