Description

This barn, located approximately 15 metres west of Higher Westcott Farmhouse, is likely from the 17th century and was refurbished in the 19th century. It features exposed cob on stone rubble footings and has a corrugated iron roof, which was formerly thatch. The barn is oriented on an east-west axis and has nearly central opposing full-height doorways leading to the threshing floors. The double doors, which date from the late 19th century, are flanked by short projecting midstrey walls. The roof is hipped at both ends. The interior was not accessible for inspection at the time of this survey.
