Description

The conduit head, dating from around 1700, is located opposite and west of the Church of St Michael on Fore Street. It is one of two conduit heads built over a small stream that flows alongside Fore Street. The structure has a square plan and features an ashlar plinth topped with a pagoda-style roof, which includes a moulded cornice and a ball finial. The base is rendered and has a small round arch that spans the stream. The other conduit head is situated in The Square.
