Description
A terrace of cottages dating to around the 18th century, located on the east side of Fore Street in Beer. The cottages are built of stone rubble with a roughcast front. They have steeply pitched roofs covered with bituminised slate, and gabled ends. The two storeys are punctuated by a six or seven window front. The windows are 19th century two- and three-light casements with glazing bars. The doorways are plain, originally with plank doors, though Nos 1 and 2 now have modern glazed doors. Brick ridge and end stacks are a feature. The cottages are included in the listing for their group value.
