Description

Dove Cottage is a terrace of cottages dating from the 18th century, located on the east side of Chard Street in Thorncombe. The cottages feature rubble walls with roughcast render and a corrugated-iron roof with gable ends. There are three chimney stacks at the ridge, one rendered and two made of brick. The building is two storeys high and has three widely spaced windows, which include early 19th century and 20th century casements. The entrance includes two plank doors and one 20th century glazed door. Inside, the cottages have chamfered ceiling beams and flagstone floors below street level, along with an outshut at the rear.
