Description

There are five churchyard tombs located south of St Mary's Parish Church in Thorncombe. These tombs date from the 18th century, with one featuring lettering from around 1700. The stonework on these tombs is significantly weathered. The southernmost tomb, dating from the early 18th century, is notable for its large balusters at each corner and a heavy moulded cornice.
