Description
Shepherd's Cottage is a range of cottages that have been combined into one dwelling, dating from the 17th or 18th century. It features a white-washed and partly plastered stone rubble exterior with a thatched roof that has hipped and half hipped ends, as well as eyebrow eaves. The building is two storeys tall and has an asymmetrical U-shaped plan with projecting wings on both the left and right sides, consisting of a total of five bays arranged in a 1:2:2 pattern. The windows are small 19th century and modern casements with glazing bars. There are two modern thatched roof porches located in the central recess. The stone chimney stacks have been heightened with brick. Additionally, one wing is built on a steep bank at the rear of the property.
