Description
The south wall of the churchyard, along with a pair of iron gates and an overthrow, is a notable structure that likely dates from the 18th century for the wall, while the gates and overthrow are from the late 19th to early 20th century. The wall is constructed of flint, with parts capped in stone and slate, and it serves as the southern boundary of the churchyard, adjacent to the church lane. The flintwork matches the material used in the church itself. The pair of iron gates features wrought iron decoration, spear finials on the verticals above the middle and top rails, and curved wrought iron braces above the middle rail. The overthrow is also decorated with wrought iron and includes an iron lampholder. This structure has group value with the church.
