Description
The churchyard wall, dating from the 19th century or earlier, features two pairs of gates from the early 20th century. The wall is made of undressed flint and is low in height, while the gates are made of iron. The main gateway on the north side is flanked by large granite gatepiers with rounded heads and includes an overthrow with a lamp that has been converted to electricity but still retains its oil fittings. The two-leaf gate, donated in 1927, has scrolled styles and curved braces above the dog rail. There is also a simpler two-leaf gate at the north-west corner, which likely dates from the same period, featuring spike finials above the middle and top rail and braces above the middle rail with scrolled ends. This structure has group value with the church and the village pump.
