Description

The churchyard gates and wall date from 1867 and are constructed from cast iron and sandstone. The double gates, located on Hoole Road, feature decorative spikes, floral and foliar motifs, and an overthrow topped with a cross. The wall is of rock-faced red sandstone and continues westward to Vicarage Road, incorporating piers that formerly supported iron railings, which were removed during the Second World War.
