Description

A pair of suburban villas dating from the mid-19th century. The houses are built of Flemish bond brown brick, with a hipped grey slate roof. They are two storeys high with four windows each. Each villa has a 14-panel door with a single-pane overlight, set within a stucco surround featuring paired pilasters on either side and a central section. Stone sills and corniced lintels are present above the ground-floor sashes. The sashes to No. 23 are 12-pane, while those to No. 25 have had the upper glazing bars removed. Four 12-pane sashes are located on the first floor, each set beneath a gauged-brick flat arch. Flush lateral chimneys are present. Each end of the buildings has two ground-floor openings and a 12-pane first-floor sash. The interiors have not been inspected.
