Description

A row of three town houses dating from the 1850s, located on Derby Place in Chester. The houses are constructed of Flemish bond brown brick with a grey slate roof and gabled fronts. Each house has two storeys with two windows per floor. They feature plinths, and stone steps lead to the front doors, which are constructed of two flush panels above two fielded panels, each with a one-pane overlight, set within door cases featuring panelled pilasters and entablatures topped with cornice hoods. The windows are recessed 16-pane sashes with painted stone sills and wedge lintels. A first-floor band and eaves cornices are present, with a ridge chimney located to the left of each house. The rears and interiors of the properties have not been inspected.
