Description

A pair of suburban villas dating from the mid-19th century. Built with Flemish bond brown brick and featuring a hipped grey slate roof, the villas are two storeys high with a four-window facade. Each villa has a 14-panel door with a one-pane overlight, set within a stucco surround featuring paired pilasters and a centre section. Stone sills and cornice lintels top the slightly recessed 12-pane sash windows flanking either side of the doors. A further four slightly recessed 12-pane sashes are located on the first floor, each set beneath a gauged brick flat arch. The ends of the buildings each have two ground-floor openings and a 12-pane first-floor sash. The interiors have not been inspected. Nos 19 and 21 share a similar design with Nos 23 and 25, and Nos 27 and 29 Hamilton Street.
