Description
The chest tomb, located immediately west of the porch of the Church of St Michael and All Angels, dates from the late 19th century. It is made of freestone and features a rectangular shape on a plinth, topped with a moulded oversailing lid. The chest is adorned with clasping pilasters that have trefoil-headed recesses. An inscription in Gothic script on the south side commemorates David Connor, who died at Egland in 1863.
