Description

Sanders Headstone is located approximately 3 metres north of the aisle of the Church of St. Mary in Rockbeare. This headstone, dated 1795, commemorates Joseph Sanders. It is made of red sandstone and features an upright slab that stands about 300mm high, topped with a low elliptical-shaped head. The inscription is crafted in upper and lower case Roman serif lettering, detailing the death of Joseph Sanders in 1795.
