Description

This is a headstone located approximately 4 metres west of the tower of the Church of St Mary in Rockbeare. It dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century and commemorates Mary Halland. The headstone is made of red sandstone and stands about 300 millimetres high, featuring a wave-shaped top. It is inscribed with simple upper and lower case lettering that notes the death of Mary Halland, although the date is not visible.
