Description
Chapel View consists of two cottages built in the 18th century. They are constructed of cob on a stone plinth, rendered, and feature a hipped thatched roof. The cottages are two storeys high, with single-storey lean-to porches and extensions at each end. The front has a three-window range, with all ground-floor windows being 2-light and the first-floor windows also being 2-light, featuring boarded gables under eyebrow eaves. All windows have timber casements, with some dating from the late 19th century or 20th century. The left-hand porch, facing Greengate, contains some late 19th-century coloured glass. The right-hand cottage (No. 1, Chapel View) has one late 18th-century, 2-light timber casement window with four panes in each casement located at the rear. There is a rear stack facing Greengate and an axial stack for Chapel View.
