Description
This is a probable early 19th-century conversion of a farmhouse into a "cottage ornée." It is built of rough cast cob and has a thatched roof. The front is symmetrical, with five windows. The first floor has 2-light casement windows with pointed top panes, and the thatch is “eyebrowed” above them. The ground floor features four French windows, also with pointed top panes. A verandah supported by rustic trunk columns runs across the front. The entrance is to the rear, located between a projecting two-storey section with three-light casement windows. The rear door has Gothic glazing and panelled lower sections, along with side lights.
