Description
Mead and Petit Champ is a Grade II listed building located on Fortescue Road, likely dating from the 17th century. This small, two-storey cob house was probably originally a farmhouse and is now divided into two dwellings. The front of the building is positioned at right angles to the road and features a thatched roof. There is a flint and stone external chimney with offsets at the road end. The first floor has three two-light casement windows, while the ground floor has two similar windows and one small single casement. A modern door has been added.
Mead and Petit Champ, along with Fortescue Farmhouse, its outhouse, and the surrounding outbuildings, form a cohesive rural group with a linking wall and garden wall.
