Description

This is a 17th-century cottage, altered in the 18th century and the mid-20th century. It is likely built on a cob core, with a roughcast exterior, possibly over cob, and a thatched roof, half-hipped to the right. The left gable end is rendered and there's a 20th-century brick stack on the right side. The cottage originally had a two-cell plan, later extended to the rear. It has one and a half storeys and two bays. A cruciform dormer window is on the left side, and a two-light casement window is on the right. The ground floor has a three-light casement window to the left of the entrance and a two-light window to the right. A central, thatched, gabled porch with double doors, dating to the 20th century, provides access. Inside, the left-hand room features chamfered beams with run-out stops.
