Cottage, lately including a smithy, now 2 dwellings. Medieval in origin, altered C16, C19 and C20, Colour washed random rubble, triple Roman tiled roof, brick stacks left gable end, centre left and between first and second bays right. Open hall derivative, considerably altered and enlarged, late C19 - early C20 single bay addition left and extensions at rear. 2 storeys, 3 bays; C20 casements, single light end left, 2- and 3-light casements centre, ground floor 2-light casement right, 2- and 3-light centre with C20 plank door right and French windows left. Interior: chamfered beams with step and runout stops, one jointed cruck truss visible. (VA6 Report, unpublished SRO, 1978).
