Description
Borough Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located in Crowcombe. It is constructed of roughcast over rubble with an asbestos slate roof and brick stacks to the gable ends. The cottage originally had a two-cell and cross-passage plan. It is one and a half storeys high and three bays wide. The upper floor has two 2-light casement dormers, and a single-light dormer inserted in the 20th century. The ground floor has three 3-light leaded casements, with a 20th-century plank door in the centre, protected by a gabled slate-roofed porch supported on wooden posts. A single-storey addition to the right, dating to the 20th century, is not included in the listing.
