Description
Bridge Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on New Road in Great Barford. It features a colour washed rough cast exterior over a timber frame and has an old clay tile roof. The cottage has a three-bay plan, consisting of one storey and attics. On the ground floor, there are two 2-light horizontal sash windows with glazing bars, and three gabled dormers, which also have 2-light horizontal sashes. The central entrance has a 20th-century front door with a gabled wooden porch. There are red brick chimney stacks at both gable ends, with the northwest stack being external and the southeast stack being integral. Additionally, there is a 20th-century single storey addition to the northwest and a small lean-to addition at the rear.
