Description

The Hedges is an 18th-century cottage located on the Kimbolton Road, between Bolnhurst and Keysoe. It is built with a timber frame, covered in colour-washed rough cast. The roof is thatched, and the cottage has a 2-room plan with attic space. The front features a central plank door sheltered by an open gabled porch. There are two 2-light leaded casement windows on the ground floor, and similar windows are found in the dormers – all are 20th-century replacements. Two colour-washed rough cast integral gable end stacks are present. A single-storey, colour-washed rough cast extension was added to the north gable end in the 20th century.
