Description
The Wheatsheaf Public House is a 17th-century building constructed from colour washed brick and rough cast over a timber frame. It has a roof that is partly covered with clay tiles and partly with concrete tiles. The building features a five-room plan, is one storey high with attics, and has 20th-century extensions added to the west gable end and projecting from the rear.
On the south elevation, there are two 2-light horizontal sash windows with glazing bars and various 20th-century casement windows on the ground floor. The roof includes two gabled dormers and one box dormer; the gabled dormers have casements, while the box dormer has a 2-light horizontal sash window with glazing bars. A 20th-century gabled porch is also present. The building has a red brick double ridge stack, and the roof is half-hipped facing the road.
