Description
New Inn Cottage is a small cottage that dates from the 18th or 19th century and underwent significant alterations around 1950. It is constructed of plastered cob and stone rubble, with a brick stack and chimney shaft, and features a thatched roof. The cottage has a two-room plan and faces north, with the stack located at the right (west) end. It is a single-storey building set back from the street, positioned between No 1 Hazel Cottages and Corner Stores Cottage.
The exterior has been modified, with a single large 20th-century casement window on the right side, which lacks glazing bars. The front doorway is located left of centre and features a 20th-century door behind a contemporary porch. The roof is half-hipped at both ends. The interior reflects the complete refurbishment from around 1950. New Inn Cottage is part of a group of small cottages that have thatched roofs.
