Description
This is a pair of red brick houses, numbers 3 and 4, built in the late 19th century. The ground floors are below road level, accessed by steps and a late 19th-century area railing. Each house has three storeys and attics, with single sash windows on each floor, each window containing three lights. The windows in number 3 retain glazing bars. The houses have good doorcases featuring pediments and pilasters, topped with fanlights. Number 3 has a modillion cornice, while number 4 has a moulded cornice. The group value of these houses lies in their cohesive architectural style and contribution to the streetscape.
