Description

This is a pair of late 18th-century houses, numbers 45 and 46 Hawley Square. They are built of red brick and stand four stories high, with a basement level. Each house originally had two windows, but a bay window has been added to numbers 45 and 46. The bay window at number 45 extends to the second floor, while the one at number 46 is only on the ground floor. The glazing bars are now missing from the windows. Later round-headed doorcases with semi-circular fanlights frame the entrances, and number 45 has a six-panel moulded door. The ground floor of number 45 is stuccoed. Cast iron spear railings are present at the front areas. Numbers 39 to 51 on the square form a group.
