Description
These are two late 18th-century terraced houses on Hawley Square. They are built of red brick with a parapet and modillion cornice above the second floor. A painted stringcourse runs above the ground floor. Each house has three windows, and the windows at No. 43 are missing some of their original glazing bars. The doorcases feature pilasters, projecting cornices, and semi-circular fanlights, with six-panelled moulded doors. Spear railings enclose the area in front of the houses. Nos. 39 to 51 on the square form a group.
