Description

Crofter's Court is a 17th-century house located up a small turning south of Lower Barn in Ottery St Mary. The building features rendered cob over thatch with a hipped thatch roof and is two stories high. It has a two-window front that includes 20th-century casements and a 19th-century sash window. There is an oven extension with a tiled roof. Inside, the house has hewn stop-chamfered beams, mostly supported by small wooden corbels, along with massive curved braces to the roof principals and a wide fireplace with a wooden bressummer.
