Description

Farthings is a building located on the east side of Sidmouth Road at the south entrance to the village. It is probably from the 18th century and is two stories high, constructed of cob with a thatched roof. The windows are casement style with glazing bars. There is an altered wing to the north that is at right angles to the main structure and features a modern entrance. Farthings, along with St Edward's Chapel and the cottage opposite the chapel, forms a very prominent group in the area.
