Description

Thatch is a Grade II listed building located in Wiggaton, opposite Farthings at the south corner of Sandgate Lane. This early 17th-century structure is two stories high and constructed of cob with a thatched roof. It has no windows facing the road but features five casement windows on the south side, which have modern leaded panes. There is a thatched porch supported by timber. Inside, the building has a timber-framed crosswall and a wide fireplace that is filled, with a beam above it. Thatch, along with St Edward's Chapel and Farthings, forms a very prominent group in the area.
