Cottage forming part of a row. Mid C19, possibly incorporating earlier work. Random rubble limestone; gabled-end pantiled roof. 2 room plan with central entrance hall containing stairs, with end stacks, that to the left-hand external. A projection to the right-hand end of the front, under a little catslide, is probably the remains of a stair turret originally servicing no. 1 Clay's Cottage (q.v.) 2 storeys. Front: 3-window front; 3-window front; two 24-pane and a central 12-pane horizontally sliding sash window with wooden sill guide pegs to first floor; similar 18-pane sash windows to ground floor, with C20 pantiled central porch.
