Description

Ferndale is a cottage that is part of a row, dating from the early 19th century. It is built of brick in Flemish bond and has a slate roof, with a stack located at the left-hand end. The cottage has a double depth plan and features an entrance to the right of both rooms. It stands two storeys high and has a front with a two-window range. On the first floor, there is one 16-pane hornless sash window and one blocked window, while a similar sash window is positioned to the left of the doorway. The architraves are rusticated, and the round-headed doorway has panelled reveals, a panelled door, and a traceried semi-circular fanlight above it.
