Description
This barn, located 5 metres south of Rudway Barton, dates from the 16th century or early 17th century. It is constructed from a mix of cob and stone, rendered on the exterior, and features a gabled-end slate roof. The barn has three openings on the first floor, which include 19th-century timber mullions. There is also a 19th-century door providing external access. The roof has been replaced in the 19th century, but it retains two older trusses: one is a jointed cruck with trenched purlins, while the other is principal side-pegged and morticed. Both trusses are in good condition. This barn is included in the listing for its group value.
