Description

Eleanors is a cottage built in the middle of a row of three, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of blocked plastered brick with a slate roof. The cottage has a double-depth plan, featuring an entrance hall to the right of centre, containing the staircase. To the left of the entrance hall is the main reception room, and to the right a smaller room, with service rooms located behind. There are two axial chimney stacks. The front façade has an asymmetrical three-window arrangement. Two sixteen-pane hornless sash windows are visible on the first floor, with the central window, positioned above the doorway, now blocked. Below, two similar sash windows flank the doorway to the left, and another is situated to the right. The doorway is topped by a moulded canopy supported by console brackets, and it features panelled reveals. A panelled door with a rectangular fanlight containing glazing bars leads into the property, and a half-glazed inner door includes a rectangular fanlight with margin panes.
