Description
Havering is an end cottage in a row of three, built in the mid-19th century. It features a blocked plastered brick exterior and a gabled end slate roof. The cottage has a four-room double-depth plan with stairs located in the entrance hall and an axial stack near the left-hand end. It stands two storeys tall with a front that has a two-window range. The first-floor window above the door is blocked, while the other window has a 12-pane hornless sash. On the ground floor, there is a similar window to the left of the doorway, which is flanked by pilasters and topped with a dentilled cornice. The door is half glazed and includes a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars. The left-hand end of the cottage features wavy bargeboarding and irregular fenestration, including a two-storey canted bay on the right with 2:2:2 pane horned sash windows. The gable wall has a round-headed two-light window with six panes per light, and to the left of the canted bay, there is a 16-pane hornless sash window on the ground floor.
