Description
The Redwing Public House is an early 19th-century building located on Church Road in Lympstone. It is constructed of brick and features a gabled-end slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan with rear stairs and stands three storeys tall. At the rear, there is an external stack, and another stack is located at the left-hand end, which incorporates part of the gable wall of a now-demolished adjacent property.
The front facade has a two-window range, with all windows being hornless sashes that either have 12 or 20 panes. The ground floor features tripartite sashes with a configuration of 4:12:4 panes. There is a single-storey right-hand extension that also has tripartite sash windows, along with two 20th-century single light casement windows. The entrance includes a round-headed doorway with a panelled door, and a tall sash window illuminates the rear stairs. The building is included for its group value.
