Description

Rose Farm House is a farmhouse that dates from the 18th or 19th century, with the possibility of an earlier core. It is constructed of roughcast stone rubble and features a hipped roof made of corrugated asbestos. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The windows are sash with glazing bars, while there are modern casements on the ground floor to the right and on the first floor to the left. The central entrance consists of a glazed and panelled door topped by a semi-circular fanlight with radiating glazing bars. A modern gabled porch with a round arch is also present. There is a brick chimney stack located near the right-hand (east) end of the house. At the rear (northwest) is a wing that forms an L-shaped plan, which may be older, and is made of rendered stone rubble with a hipped corrugated asbestos roof.
